May have found the problem. I pulled both propane bottles and when I removed the second one, there was two teaspoons of what appeared to be a light oil that came out of the hose that connected to the second bottle. Note - I had not remove the second bottle for some time as I would run the first one down until it was empty and then I would refill it.
Could oil have been dumped into the second bottle some time when I had it refilled?
