I'm in Oregon and on the news this morning they said Oregon had the 5th highest gas prices. I think reg is around $3.69. I can't even remember when I paid $2+!!

I'm down here in Medford and diesel is still higher than gas. I'll need to fill up next week and it'd be great to pay less than gas!!

I wish I lived in an area where you could actually follow gas price changes by a few cents each time.

Here is Mid-Michigan, 20 cent a gallon increases are a weekly occurrence. They jump that in a day (one goes up, they all go up exactly the same). Then during the week, it drops every day a few cents, until we are back to the original price, at which, it jumps 20 to 30 cents again.

No price fixing here. Everyone, go about your business. Nothing to see here... :R

You all have it easy. Gas hit $5.64 per US gallon up here in BC, Canada.

Probably doesn't help that you have the 5th highest gas tax.

California has a gas market all it's own. No gasoline can be imported in to the state due to California's special blend of gasoline. The gasoline has (among other things) more oxygen molecules to allow the gas to burn cleaner. All refineries in the state operate at near capacity. The "Green" folks will not let a new refinery be built. Quite the opposite, many have been closed down in the last 20-30 years or so.

They oil companies take advantage when a competitors refinery goes down, and they raise the price. High $4.00 in the summer time not uncommon.

I retired and left.

Never knew that about CA's fuel. Makes cents I guess:)
