Gas prices

When gas went to $4 or close there was much weeping and wailing from RVers, selling of motorhomes, etc. Now that it's around $2 I'm surprised to not be hearing much about what a break it is for we RVers with 10 MPG motorhomes. Of course we know it won't be low forever but perhaps it will stay under $3.50 for awhile. I've always said it's like the stock market. No one really know what the price will be next week or next decade. But if it does go high I think I'm not going to panic and sell.

  • If this president had known anything about history, and that the pipelines have been installed by the Federal Government for well over 70 years, and that the Government makes MONEY transporting fuels through the pipelines, then the Keystone pipeline would have been approved many years ago, and we would have had lower fuel prices for the past 5 or 7 years.

    Instead we have trains to carry the crude oil to Portland OR, where I live (and right past my house) to get the oil to the refineries. This is far more dangerous than a pipeline. And much more expensive way to transport say 100,000 gallons per hour by trains instead of pipelines.

    It all started by Rockefeller back in the late 1890's. By 1939, the pipelines to carry essential war materials from the Texas refineries to New York for transportation to Europe, but where blocked by every homeowner that the pipeline might have crossed part of their property. As a war effort, the Federal Government got the pipeline completed, and so began the pipeline system. It is probably as important as the interstate highway system!

  • We are still paying .90 per litre, thats about $3.60 US gallon. Still better than the $1.35 we were paying.

    Although we are no longer full-time, we will never stop RV'n;;;until;;;

    They take my last $$$$$ from my cold dead fingers.

    And see'n as how I'ma taking my RV with me, it's a moot issue.

    However, it is a little nice spending under $20 to fill up the sonic.

    The RV, doesn't matter, it's going when I want, at $1.97 or $5.00 plus.

    See ya at the Gas Pump. Ole'
