High gas prices keep the "riffraff" off the highways.

Russia is very dependent on oil exports. Low price hurts Russia. Russia is bucking the elitists global order.

How much is a gallon of Beer?

See there is optimism for the future. A gallon in, a Gallon out, don't pay a water or sewer fee. It's almost like getting a three-fer, for the cost of a gallon of Beer. How much is that per bottle.

Heck of a deal.

Fuel is the lowest cost we have with our RV. To travel 1000 miles it makes little difference whether we spend $300 or $400 for fuel. Add your costs to buy the RV and its yearly depreciation and interest if you financed the purchase, cost for storage, cost for campsites, costs for maintenance and repairs, and your fuel bill for the year.

Fuel was cheap at $4.00 a gallon and low enough that most people never gave a second of thought to getting a more fuel efficient RV or even of slowing down to the posted speed on the freeway or lightening their load, including their tow load.

We also neglect the cost in human life and environmental degradation with our wars in the Middle East that cost trillions of dollars and the cost for fracking in the USA and the loss of drinking water in many communities.

Ignorance is definitely bliss for a great many in this country.

Most of the oil "experts" seem to think gasoline will stay around $2 or so this year. That means we're going to be taking much longer trips and a much longer vacation when our grandson gets out of school for the summer. I'm having a lot of fun trying to decide whether to go to the west coast and play Pebble Beach (bucket list) or Canada since the whole map is back in play.

we live in a global economy..that's a reality. most of the oil we consume here in the states is produced in the states. of the remainder most of that comes from north America and most of that comes from Canada.

keystone is not about who owns the oil...it's about jobs. good, high wage jobs...something our dear leader knows nothing about. and FYI..most of the keystone pipeline has been built and is operating. it's just the remaining portion that's being held up.

I paid $1.78 for 87 just yesterday in Naperville, IL...western suburb of Chicago. admittedly this station was way below most others in the area. average price for 87 octane around here is $1.95-$2.05.

If you have to worry about the price of fuel you probably shouldn't own an RV period.

When gas prices go up it makes it better for me because a lot of people stay home and the parks are not crowded. I get a free tank of gas a week with my job so if I'm frugal and stay close to home I usually don't need to buy much gas. When I do my pickup get 14 MPG empty and 12 pulling the TT so it doesn't make much difference to me.
