That is common around Austin. Most places in town have 1-2 aisles with diesel and gasoline combined at the pump. Combine this with the behavior of some to park, go in, eat lunch, text on their phone for a while, take about 30-45 minutes, and then finally come out and get gas. If asked about it, the people doing this always will cop an attitude about being entitled to taking up a prime pump space since they are gracing the store with their presence. To boot, the diesel stalls tend to be the end ones, which are the ones that people shoot for first.
The ironic thing, the vehicles doing this (if diesel at all) are almost always the compact TDI cars. The diesel truck drivers tend to gas up, then hit a parking space.
Call me old fashioned, but I just fill my generator fuel cans, fill my truck up, then scoot. It isn't that much of an inconvenience, and makes everyone else around me a lot happier.
