Gas tax increase in some states July 1st
I read that some states will increase their gas tax, California 5.6 cents, Ohio 10.5 cents, Illinois will double their tax from 19 to 38 cents, S Carolina 2 cents, and Tennessee 1 cent.

And if you go back another 20 years, we where burning even more gas be mile. And from that time the average person's income has gone down in same dollars.
But about 30 years ago we decided the only people that should need to pay income taxes is the people that work. The states must get money from somewhere.
I still think that we aught to put the interstate system in the DOD. That would give unlimited funds.
