I support the need for generators at home... One of the things I did before I got an RV was buy a small generator, Just enough to keep my beedroom A/C working, (Small window unit).
When I got the RV I "upgraded" the house electrical. new higher quality, bigger, breaker box (Square D instead of Push-Matic) Generator transfer switch with load meters (very nice) proper INLET on the back of the house.
Matching OUTLET in the basement of the RV, Big long custom made (Ok home made) extension cord from RV pad to INLET.
Came in mighty handy on occasions. All those upgrades
Box $$$
Transfer panel and inlet $$$
Cord $$$
Mods to RV $$$ (Even though I did the labor, ok drop a $)
Warm wife (Power went out Dec 31) PRICELESS.
