Generator Question

Newb here with a generator question. I received the following Champion generator as a gift.

1. Is this sufficient enough to run power on a 24' trailer (lights, accessories, ac, etc)?
2. Will this unit be too loud for campgrounds? I don't want to be "that guy" lol.

I won it in a raffle so it was free. Actually just thinking about selling it and buying a quieter one. Maybe Honda?

  • To use an AC, you need to look up the locked amp rating of your AC. Then size a generator to at least match that number. As for db ratings? Quietest one you can find. If you do not understand db ratings,do yourself a favor and do a web search and read up.
  • Thanks for the honesty! Like I said, I'm new to the rv/trailer scene. What db rating should I be looking at? And is 2k watt enough power or should I look for something bigger?

No "lol" about it :W ... run this genset in any campground and you will be "that guy". :M
  • It will power what you want plus an air conditioner however it will be very loud. I would not want to park next to you with that thing running
