I don't pay much attention to the hours on each unit. I maintain them both on a monthly basis. Overall, in the grand scheme of things, does it really matter if one machine is run more than the other? I mean, over the entire life of the machines, which theoretically could be thousands of hours, as long as they are repaired, serviced and maintained regularly, it all balances out, right?
I DO like Oakie1's idea of the hour meters though, just cause I'm a gadget guy and a bit of a "prop/gear head". I would be interested in seeing pictures of this setup and maybe a short tutorial how to.
