We always keep at least 1/2 tank or more as we are aware of the genny needing 1/4 tank to run. The tech here this AM said he has seen many of these problems but this is the first time he has seen something besides low fuel being being the cause.
Update. The tech and i agree we think it is the fuel shutoff solenoid. He has disconnected it and it has run perfectly for over an hour now.
