generator

Does anyone know which big-box store is best to buy a champion generator? I am at Duke cancer center for a doctor's appointment this morning and headed back to the coast to get my house finished ready and pick up my travel trailer. Thought I might try to get a generator while I'm up here away from the coast. Haven't done much research but I know champion is good and better price than Honda. Probably something in the neighborhood of a 2000 Watt or maybe even a little bigger that would run the 13-5 AC. Don't want a contractors generator but a inverter thanks so much. We are headed south west into edge of Georgia so could possibly pick one up there also.

    Costco had their Yamaha 2000W inverter on sale for $450 that included a parallel kit.
    Get two of those.

    Northern Tools often has good prices on generators.

    And absolutely do not buy a 2,000 watt unit if you want to run an AC. Get one in the 3,000 class.

    You need bigger than a 2000, more like a champion 3400 or 3200.

    You might run it with a 2000 watt if you add a micro air start kit to the AC unit they cost about $350.
