Well, it finally happened. We're in Quartzsite, boondocking on BLM land and our two Honda generators were taken between 10 pm and 8 00am this morning. We had heavy duty vinyl covered cables, but that didn't stop them. Dangit!!! And no, we didn't have our names etched in them and the papers are in storage in Oregon. What a way to start the day!!! Waiting to contact ins.....sure hope they cover them!
So, what do YOU do to stop yours from being stolen???
well, dodo....
We simply wrap the cable around one of the landing gear legs. That way they have to cut the cable, and I use a hardened cable.
You are missing a wet-wild-windy winter, gusts into the 60's earlier this week.
Yikes! - cheap shot - name calling! ("well, dodo...")..:(
"We simply wrap the cable around one of the landing gear legs. Thay way they have to cut the cable, and I use a hardened cable."
A poster went to a NASCAR race, parked his 5th wheel a day early, secured his Honda 3000 the same way.
NO cutting necessary!
Bad guys simply supported the front of the trailer, raised the landing gear legs enough to take the gen *AND* the cable.
So who's simply the "dodo" now?..:S..:S

I read that as Doo-Doo as in CR@P.
dodge guy -
That's a generous interpretation! - and maybe the intent, but.....
Google - "Dodo bird"...;)
No spelling error for dodo - except maybe a cap for the first "D".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DodoBut -
Note that Wiki starts their description with *no* caps - "The dodo..."
Google - Your 'version' of spelling for dog droppings, "Dog Du Du", etc.
Maybe the "dodo" poster would like to clarify his intent!?..:S
