I didn't read this whole thread. I agree with the above statement. I understand it's different if you have mobility issues due to health problems. Walking is good exercise if you and the family learn to take walks together you will live longer, healthier lives, and save money on doctor bills and prescriptions. Your stress levels will be lower too. In fact jogging is not a bad option either.
I agree and look for campgrounds (usually state parks) that have trails to hike as well as walking the campground. I am amazed at some people who are driving around morning, noon and night and wonder why they even go camping! Part of camping is to enjoy the outdoors.
