We don't do it often but we do do it. We can "boondock" within 10 minutes of wherever we choose. Really.
We are 45' nose to tail connected truck to 5'er. Just for starters, try churches, obviously not on Saturday night or Sunday morning. You will have a peaceful night and we have never been bothered.
Of course there are always the standbys like Walmart, Lowes, etc. Those can be very bright and noisy.
We have pulled over well off of a country road and spent a lovely night.
Point is, there are MANY opportunities out there. Utilize them or be afraid, be very afraid! :)
