Republic Of China = Taiwan, formerly Formosa.
Democracy, ally of the USA. Military equipment from the USA, etc.
Peoples Republic Of China = Mainland China.
Communist China.
Thailand = Kingdom of Thailand

Simple reply in re ST Maxxis tires, from Maxxis -
"The vast majority of the Maxxis M8008 trailer tires sold in the USA are manufactured at our company owned facility in Thailand".
More complex and thorough reply from Maxxis - which also addresses (takes issue with) "Made in China" negativity .....

BTW - China - Communist China - (mfg facilities and Chinese workers) are capable of manufacturing almost anything (tires included) to the desired specifications.
Michelin, GY (and other tire brands) as well as Maxxis have manufacturing facilities in Communist China.
Check *your* sidewall codes if you are concerned whether your tires were mfgd at the location Maxxis says is the "vast majority"..:@
