They say "Your first hundred years are the hardest"

As I have aged I have changed the phrase Golden Years to the Rusty Years. Being very active racing off-road motorcycles and other similar active unsafe sports, I am now having to finally make the adjustment to safer activities. Doc says if I fall on the shoulder after the current repair job it is gone forever. What a bummer, no longer Superman!

Just turned 69 yesterday. Had an older friend in his mid to upper 70's call and wish me the best. Said by the mid 70's SEX was a lot better but for the life of him he couldn't remember with who. YUP guess there's hope.

I will be 70 in several months but I stopped complaining about when I saw many of my friends never got the opportunity to grow old.

I always put my home phone on call forwarding when I leave (except for Church) and never miss a phone call. I got plenty of calls prior to the election but now it is back to normal.

rwj146, I had hoped that I was the only one that got those phone calls. I at times wish they would loose my number. We leave to run errands some times and when we return we unload the truck then I put the truck away. It is not fun when I come in and DW has an iced tea on the table with a chair pulled out and she says "sit and listen to your message". Sweat beads appear as I push the button. Last week I was notified that over a three day period I had experienced several episodes of A-fib with the longest lasting for 45 minutes. Re-look vitamin K consumption, a closer monitoring of the Tikosyn, and adjust blood pressure meds with a new visit to the VA next week. I wish I could feel it if it occurred again so maybe I could bother them once.

It gets interesting when we take a trip and I have to pack up all the equipment as you well know and go without the camper. It can be fun.

I just retired fully on Nov 1. This is my 7th retirement and final one. I had 48+ years as a financial planner and insurance agent. I was a Church organist for 61 years and a school bus driver for over 50 years. I tried to retire from each of them a couple times and alwats ended back in them. I will turn 78 next tuesday and ready to do some travelling. A friend suggested E-Harmony so by the second day I haven't been back there but I have had a lot of dates with one I met the second day. I feel like high school again.
