look at these two things as learning experiences. yes, they cost some $ and you feel robbed, but now you know some useful things you should know.
it's not the end of the world. and you aren't the only one in the boat.
I called my son one time when he was on a cruise and he got billed $15.00 for a one minute call...so I learned from that, and so did he :)
and anytime you get automotive service in a shop, you're going to pay a hefty price...just like anytime you visit a doctor...no matter how trivial the problem is.
