x2 last two TT's I bought they installed the hitch. I even went back to the 2nd dealer several times to have them adjust it. I could've but they insisted they would make it right. If you bought your WD separately then they may not do it for free.
That 900lbs will grow when you pack up. I towed my last TT that had a loaded TW of 9-950lbs with a 3/4 ton and no way would I tow it all over w/o WD. 50 miles sure, but not on longer camping trips loaded up.
Not sure what WD hitch you bought but if it's just the standard EAZ-Lift type then just put 5 washers in the head. The chain hangers are real simple, grab a couple links and go for it.
