Drop the ball on the hitch and roll. I have pulled a 33' 9k lb TT with my truck at 70mph with no WDH or sway and it was perfectly fine. One hand on the wheel. Your truck is much more capable than mine. Don't give it another thought.
BTW Good call installing the hitch at home. I have fixed every one of my camping buddies hitches after the dealer installed them. They all said their trailers towed 10x better after that.
