And that's why it's called volunteer. It is for the willing.

When CA closed parks, they locked the gates and everybody left, well everybody but the thieves. A lot of RVers volunteered to stay a parks and monitor their use while closed. CA legislature declined and one of our favorites Mitchell Caverns was trashed and stripped of valuable equipment. It happened to other parks too.

The State of CA and in my opinion, the Feds are using this to blackmail us the users, into taking sides. There are a lot of stated reasons why they don't let us help and the lamest is the Workman's Compensation Laws. Why can't they read the definition of volunteer. We want to do it for the future, we're offering to pay forward.

I’ve moved to agree with az. Close our NPs to prevent more damage.

I find it amazing how much people are inconsiderate pigs today. It's the 'me too' thing.

I really don't think it's an worse than it's ever been. We are just able to hear about it now.
