There is no conviencing you. That would be like convincing a Trump supporter his president isn't doing such a hot job.
Wow, that'll surely convience me. - shelbyfvExplorer

Nope. Intelligence and education are two different things. You can't control the brains you are born with. Choosing whether to learn things or remain ignorant is a choice each of us makes.shelbyfv wrote:
Typical - if we don't agree with you, insult our intelligence. Wow, that'll surely convience me.
I understand the demographics of the RV hobby. Mostly middle aged to elderly males and a level of education that is nothing to brag about. It's still astonishing that so many seem proud to flaunt their ignorance. I see several are repeating the story about the NOAA scientist and the funding. Here's your link http://www.snopes.com/2017/02/08/noaa-scientists-climate-change-data/ Scientists thought the earth was flat? Seriously? Folks did but not scientists as we know them now. Do you have any sense of what it takes to reach a conclusion in the modern scientific world? Read up on the "scientific method" which has been in use since the 17th century. These are people who have made a commitment and put in the hard work that most of us have not been willing to do. To dismiss their findings because some talking head on your one source of TV news has some other agenda is nuts! - 2oldmanExplorer II

It's just a lot of plain old hard work. The scientific knowledge we know and accept today was gained through diligence and painstaking effort. - wing_zealotExplorer

You can easily make that case for the lead industry in the 60s and the petroleum industry now. It just comes down to which side you think has the more reasonable case, given the facts as presented to the "jury".
Its not science any more. Its people making a case to protect their own arse.
It's not about making a perfect case, it's about making a reasonable and prudent one. - 2oldmanExplorer II

x2.. I think.
I wish someone would do a scientific study on how many conspiracies the average person can retain in great detail before the mind can take no more. - captnjackExplorerThe actual greatest scam ever perpetrated in politics was when the right wing somehow got the left wing to go along with the whole "climate change" debate.
They managed to get the discussion away from whether or not pollution is bad. I think we can all agree pollution is bad. And no one could stand up with a straight face and say pollution is good so they had to reframe the debate. They found a way to do so. Big victory for them! Yay!
So we put our energy in to debating whether climate change is real or whether it is caused by man. And this comes at the expense of doing anything about pollution. - doc_brownExplorerInteresting discussion as usual. Check out long range weather.com.
