I agree Dutchmen... Unfortunately it seems like these days people tend to feel better buying the cheapest thing they can. Unfortunately, it leads to a situation that occurs all too often.. Folks can't afford to spend the money to do it right, but they can sure afford to spend the money to do it again! My other hobby is classic car collecting/restoring. I don't know how many times I've actually been guilty of can't afford to do it right, but could afford to do it again... Probably more times than I care to admit.
The overnighting at Walmart etc, I have mixed feelings honestly. I don't think I would do it, unless I couldn't avoid it. For two reasons.. One is to enjoy the journey not just the destination, and secondly, to support the privately owned campgrounds as much as possible. If I drop $30 or even $50 for an overnight stay, maybe that small business guy gets to stay in business longer.
