I guess each person has there own way. I don't care for the word cheap either, frugal maybe, economical too.
I plan on going fulltime when I retire, with a small class C, probably used with low mileage, nothing fancy either. So far, since I wont be keeping up with a house and farm as I now do, it should work out quite a bit less expensive.
I do cook frugal meals, shop at Goodwill when I need clothing which is rare, look for bargains on needed items. But quality is important in some things. I bought good Firestone tires....but got them on sale : ) I pay a good, honest mechanic for fixing my vehicles. He's worth it. But I do my own oil changes : )
