WHO CARES
What looks 'cheap' can be deceiving. My choice to boondock or find cheap no-hookups CGs is driven by my desire to avoid neighbors with all their noise and problems.
I've spent thousands of dollars and lots of hours making myself self-sufficient. I'll be darned if, after all that effort, I'm going to be frequenting campgrounds.
If you go back and search through every single post I've ever made, you will never find I have referred to boomdocking as "cheap." I also have never called Wall Mark camping "cheap" either.
But others do make reference to Wall Mart and boomdocking as a "cheap' way to camp.
Truth be told, it takes more equipment and resources to boom dock than to simply hook up to an electric plug. Nothing "cheap' about boomdocking, especially if you are self-sufficient. It's NOT a "cheap" way to camp, but it is an alternative way to camp. Or maybe boomdocking was the original and plugging into electric is the alternative (when you really think about it).
Your campsite costs nothing when you boomdock? That's not cheap (and I will never call it being cheap either), that's actually pretty creative - simple and back to the basics. But, if "YOU" call it cheap, then it takes on a different meaning.
So, I'm simply asking to rethink how we use the term "cheap". I still say, there is nothing "cheap" about RVing.
