if you haven't asked, insurance co probably didn't give you a choice, and made it unlimited. On on my roadster, I have a 5,000 mile/yr limit of my choosing. saves a significant $$$ on the policy, and since it usually only gets driven 3,000 miles/year, ok. Saved money when DW and I retired when I told insurance co the mileage to/from work =0.
With our insurance co, I can get reduced rates at 7500 mile/yr or less or 5,000 miles/yr or less. But only 1 of my 3 vehicles gets less than 7500/yr.
And they ask every few years for me to fill out a form with mileage. So they can check and make sure I'm complying. - darsbenExplorer IIWhy don't you just call the company and ask?
You are their customer. - JIMNLINExplorer IIII've had three truck campers and One TT and three 5th wheel trailer and over a dozen GN equipment trailers and never heard of a insurance mileage limit. Guess I learned something new.
- IAMICHABODExplorer IIIIt all depends the insurance carrier that you have..
Sorry that is not much help but if we knew that we may be able to give some valid answers.
I have AAA it starts at 5000 miles or less
#1 Is there some bad penalty for exceeding that? not much
#3 Is buying a policy with a larger mileage limit worthwhile? not offered
#3 . Do I have to report our mileage? AAA yes
