I think Google needs to concentrate more on updating the images that they already have, I know there are Street views that haven't been updated in over 6 years, + not all public roads are on street view. Plus a lot of the overhead view resolutions are lousy.

I think it is kind of neat, but I will probably not use it. Of course, I don't use Google much anyway. I did note that the street view for our house is at least 6 years old based on the vehicles in the yard, but the overhead is less than a year based on the vehicles I can see.One thing is for sure, these teams should be in pretty good shape at the end of the project with them walking 50 miles per week.

I saw a snippet where they mounted the same camera on a guy that hiked Mt Fuji.

I don't like it.

I know with kids, by me anyway, they distort the faces. I was looking at the street view a couple blocks away and there were 3 kids on the sidewalk all with the faces distorted.

Add the Google Glass identification features and you will soon be able to google that coworker and see a pic of her in her bikini from your cubicle. Or her kids, know where they vacation, possibly see their car, etc.

I'm going camping at a Florida State park at the end of August. Usually, you can see pictures of your site on the state website, but for some reason, this particular state park did not show pictures. I googled the address and then was able to go to street view. Much to my surprise, I was able to virtually drive to my campsite following the campsite map opened on another tab. I'm going to have fun!

For me I think being able to use Google's aerial shots has made my RV'ing experiences 110% more enjoyable.

Full timing you are covering a lot of territory you know nothing about. Being able to google the CG's and see what they REALLY look like 'inside', and what they are 'next' to, has been priceless for me. That and googling street view to virtually drive up and down the streets of my destination BEFORE heading out equally as priceless.

Now seeing the entire coast line of Florida? Maybe it will help someone find the ultimate spot to put their lawn chair and blanket down on!

Why do they need this? isn`t that what Panoramio is for? I think some peoples pictures posted in Google Earth are much better than what Google can take!
