Never knew what chucking was until it was explained to me. I pull a gooseneck equipment trailer all the time and I think my gooseneck pulls fine. In fact I like his setup enough to copy it if I had a TT (which I don't). One thing about a gooseneck ball hitch is levelling the gooesneck is super easy. The hitch stem is adjustable up and down via holes in the stem and a bolt or in my case a lever secured with a spring clip. So long as I keep the 2 7/8" ball greased the gooseneck can articulate side to side on uneven terrain with no binding and no issues whatsoever and unhitching is a simple matter of pulling a lever and opening the jaws at the bottom of the stem which I can do from the ground standing beside the truck.
Pretty neat setup.
