Even if you meant to post 600 dollars you still would have gotten ripped off.
Also, you could have hooked up a garden hose and a extension cord and tried the dishwasher out on your driveway before you installed it.
Also, also, you may have been able to fix the old one with something simple like a hose clamp or maybe a new hose. Maybe not, I wasn't there I can't say.
