What a fun day. Managed to get some road hazard damage on the trailer today. Unfortunately took out the fender which jammed the tire and took it down to the steel cords. But Angela managed to get it sorted out on the side of the road. Just a few pics of our fun day, You'll notice the tire guard is completely gone as we had to cut off what was left with our handy dandy 18 volt Ryobi grinder. First Jack it up and get out the spare. Get the tire off. All swapped out and ready to torque Did all of this on the side of the road although managed to make it to an off ramp siding. Lots of smoke, way fun. I'm beat, AND I SPLIT A NAIL. Angela has dirty nails, face, arms etc. though. Kinda hot...the weather I mean. :)

Hey, Svengali, they sell replacement fenders at Etrailer. Nice work, the pictures I mean. :BNah, j/k, tell Angela she looks like she's doing a heck of a job.

It is a bolt on and connects to the axle with three bolts. Might have to get one from Kendon. No big deal. Good link though. Thanks again.

Glad you (or Angela) got it all repaired and back on the road.
Make sure one of you check the torque again after about 50 miles or after you park for the night.

Years ago I had a built in torque wrench...its max torque was 200 lbs. Now my built in torque wrench is probably down to about a 30 lb max torque. :(

I've never used a torque wrench when changing a tire, in over 40 years.....though that doesn't mean much, and it's probably better to use it.

My DW is just as handy.....she has AAA on her speed-dial!! B)
