My brand new TT got broken into last winter while stored on the dealers lot, along with 12 others. They smashed the door window as well. Only other damage was to the rotating entertainment unit when they tried to turn it around while it was locked. If they would've just looked on the other side first they could have saved themselves some trouble. I take everything of value out before storing it.
The dealer was going to replace the door glass and screen at his cost but it was going to take a couple of weeks to get the tempered glass cut. I didn't want to wait so I ordered a new frame with glass online and installed it myself. $80 and done.
You could probably have the door replaced for less than your deductible and save your rates.
