Got the bad call today

from my service dealer where I bought my camper.

had it in for warranty work on my new toyhauler.

minor things. few extras adding.

It got broken into. they hit 3 campers. busted our window on the door also must have used a crowbar or something on it cause damaged the door. need a whole new door :)

thank goodness for insurance :)

nothing taken inside. slides were in so they couldn't get into the master. tvs up higher, kinda hard to get. Not sure if the other campers were vandaled or not.

just goes to show, if they want it, they will get into it ;)

ugh. pain in the butt times ya know!

All good tho cause it is being taken care of and what else can one do?

Anyone have this type of trouble lately?

    Doubt they are responsible.
If they took ordinary caution (like locking it) then they are not liable. Even less so if they have a locked yard and someone broke in or scaled the fence.
Now if they did something stupid, like leaving it unlocked or placing it in a location where it's likely to be hit with something, then they would be liable.

This is the correct answer^^^^ REASONABLE CARE PEOPLE..the camper was locked, that is reasonable care

  • "Not responsible for lost or stolen articles" generally means by THEIR staff. If they got broken into, their insurance should take over.
  • Don't put it through your insurance, your rates will go up. If the dealer wants to pay great, if not it goes through his insurance.
  • They said they will do me right. I won't have to pay anything they said :)
I called it in and my ded. is $500 but he said all is cool.
