When fed budget gets stopped or hacked off or isn't passed by a certain time/date as in the last closures its up to congress to see that a administration in office at that time has the monies to operate those parks and services.
Most COE parks were closed around here in the last budget crisis. We simply camped elsewhere.
Didn’t they pass a law during or after the last shutdown that gave the executive branch latitude to move money around to operate the things they wanted to keep going?
It would seem they do. Last time the Lowends Interpretive Center for the Selma to Montgomery March was open when we went by it. the COE office right up the road and all the COE campgrounds were closed.
