A few years ago I was driving to the Port of Miami for a cruise. I had reviewed my route and knew basically how I was going to go. About 25 miles from our destination, my GPS started telling me to exit, but "I knew how I was going to go," so I ignored its routing. About 3 exits down I realized why it was telling me to exit when all lanes came to an abrupt stop due to a traffic jam. We almost missed our cruise because I did not rely on the GPS rerouting me around the traffic. Maps are useless when it comes to real-time traffic information.
