We had an issue just the other day trying to find a dealership 35 miles from home using google maps. We knew approximately where it was located but had never been there. Google said it was 2.5 hrs away. Lucky for us we were somewhat familiar with the area and didn't follow google. I think perhaps there was some sort of bug in the system, a satellite was down or something. It took us only 40 minutes to get there. We always use the google app on our iPad or phone when traveling and it has usually taken us straight to our destination.
