The real truth is that many more birds die from collisions with structures and vehicles by a magnitude of 1000. Now, if you're a bird hugger, sure, eliminate all objects that kill birds but while you're tearing down all the power infrastructure and skyscrapers, what is the alternate effect on bird's environments from coal powered utility plants vs wind towers. I've found that there is a whole side of alternate power opposition that will skew facts and figures, foster conspiracies, and blatantly lie to meet their agenda.
It's in this thread--electric cars are more egregious to our environment than gas and diesel powered vehicles. Do some research and find out if this is true or not. I know the answer.
