The campground to which I referred is a private campground on a lake (literally 30 feet from the camper and we are in the water!!!) that we LOVE. The vast majority of the time it is occupied by intelligent and considerate people. Holiday weekends bring out people who are lacking in those characteristics.
Its a price we pay to be at the lake. Its a popular spot that attracts all kinds. Generally we don't have issues other than inconsiderate people wandering through our sites... but that can occur anywhere. Having waterfront sites attracts more passers-by though...
