The manufacturer also installs a switch that turns the outside speakers on and off. My new TT has outside speakers, I'll probably never use them.
I look at outside speakers as just another point of entry for water to get under the filon and rot the frame and soak the insulation.
I don't even have a stereo in my unit. I have a portable multi band radio. More stuff you have, more stuff to fail.
