GS Travel Guide on sale at CW

Camping world has the Good Sam's Travel Guide, their massive list of campgrounds in the US and maybe Canada, for $6.95 plus $5 shipping. The big book is $18.95 at Amazon last time I looked.

GSTG

I know a lot of people like online guides but none of them come close to the 400,000 or so listings in this book. When you are looking for a spot to stop for the night, an hour down the road, you cannot beat this book. If there is a CW near you I guess you can avoid the shipping charge.

  • I like the free items listed on several pages, I get one every year and do use it once in a while, it also has other nice to know items, but the store sell it for $6.95 and no shipping.

And it doesn't matter if you are out of cellphone range. But I'll have to try the GS app

  • I have that massive book but have never used it. I use the Good Sam app on my phone and it works great when I want to find campgrounds. I push the "Find Parks Nearby" button and up pops a listing of parks nearby. I can scroll through the parks and read about each one if I want. I can also look at the parks in the map view and see where they are in relation to me. The app also lets me easily call the park and check on availability. Real simple to use and I don't have to man-handle that huge GS book.
