I think the greatest punishment that can be given anyone is a lifetime in a 4'x6' cell with no windows, no light, and no one to talk to, or listen to, with a bread and water diet. Not even a change of clothes. Just a lifetime to think of what they did that got them there. They would want the death penalty, but could not have it. But that would be considered considered in-humane. That, in my book, is the ultimate punishment that civilization could give anyone. It is a greater penalty that the death penalty considering so many of them have begged for the death penalty!
