Even gas to gas, the ram is 7 quarts of oil, and 16 spark plugs. I have made the switch to a 2500. It's nice but I miss the 1500 ride and economy most of the time. Since I only tow heavy 3 or 4 times a summer.
I went from a 2013 Silverado 1500, which had an awesome ride, to a 2014 RAM 2500, and I was/am surprised at how well the the RAM with the coil springs rides. A family friend has a 2014 RAM 3500 with the CTD and the ride is so much worse than our 2014 RAM 2500 with the 6.4.
The 1/2 ton Chevy we had did have a much better ride than the RAM 2500 we have, but it's not exactly comparing apples to apples, as this truck is built to do a lot more than the 1/2 ton Chevy.
I completely agree. And my new truck rides great for a 2500. It however is not as good as my 1500 ram was. And my point was if you rarely tow, it might be worth slowing down, instead of upgrading trucks.
