Have an awesome truck. Born to pull and does great at it. It's a 4X4 Chevy Silverado, 1500, crew cab short box. My trailer is 8500 lbs and the family of four, plus two 100 lb dogs, plus a truck canopy...

I was driving a GMC Sierra 1500 CC, 5.3 auto, with a 3.42 gear ratio. Tow rating of 6800 lbs. My TT has a GVWR of 7200, so I was too close to my limit for comfort, although it did the job.
I recently traded for a Chevy Silverado 2500 CC 4x4, 6.0 gas, auto with a 4.10 gear. Tow rating around 9500 lbs. I don't recall the actual number there, but it tows much easier. Yup, to me it was worth it.
