I hope you had a great Independence Day celebration! July fourth is a date, an important date, but still a date.

X several bazillion. I am probably more guilty than any of you for taking my country and freedom for granted. Maybe this day we can do a little more than just pay our taxes and complain. There is a charity called OurBravest.org. You can watch the video on FoxNews/megankelley. What they do is build custom houses for vets that have had limbs blown off, burned or any number of things that happen in war. Maybe we could just donate a couple of nights of CG fees that one of these soldiers can be just a little more comfortable, a little more independent, a little more prideful of their own manhood or womanhood. Maybe that would be more effective than just placing a flag in the front yard for a few hours. THANKS VETS, PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE!!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA, GOD BLESS OUT VETS!

Happy Independence Day to all of the brave men and women who made and make this all possible. Whenever I tell someone that Joseph Plumb Martin is one of my favorite heroes needless to say they go "HUH" His A Narrative of a Revolution helps one to understand just exactly what they went through to achieve Independence.

Saw a great documentary on H2 last night about the Revolutionary War narrated by the late Charles Kuralt. There was a lot of sacrifice by our forefathers to make our country and this day possible. Happy 4th of July!
