Happy Memorial Day Weekend

To all my fellow RVers in the USA, Hawaii and Alaska a happy, safe and enjoyable Memorials Day long weekend.
Thank you and the highest praise to all of those who sacrificed and continue to sacrifice themselves to keep our great countries "Strong and Free".
Finished watching Indy and now ready for the Coca Cola 600.
All the best to everyone.

Good explanation. My son, a soldier in the National Guard, has served for 6 years and counting, since he was 17. He asks me not to thank him for his service on Veteran's Day. He has not been deployed and doesn't not consider himself a veteran. I can do so on Armed Forces Day.

  • Lets us remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice on this solemn occasion.
  • Freedom is expensive, it is won at the expense of lifes, some of my good friends are interred in military cementeries, the last one at Fort Rosecrans in San Diego, rest in peace Master Chief and all who gave all for us to be free.

    Thank you.

Yes. Happy. As a vet with lost friends and family, it is a resounding yes. Be happy.

Happy we continue to live in the greatest country on earth. Happy that although war is tragic, it is sometimes necessary, and our freedoms have been protected from those who would destroy it.

You don't have to agree with war to remember our troops going back to the Revolutionary War. Everything we enjoy, from free speech to RVing, clean water to a decent burger joint, good medical care to relative safety within our borders.....it was all bought and paid for with the sacrifices of our brave men and women in the military. Memorial Day is about remembering those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. It's ok to be happy about it. PROUD of it.

Nothing is perfect. But this country is about as close as it gets because of our troops who gave it all. Rejoice in that.

Happy Memorial Day everyone. Semper Fi

Let's not forget the reason for Memoral Day, it is a day to remember those that have paid the ultimate price to protect our Freedom!

If you have an opportunity this weekend thank a Veteran for their service.
  • I bet some of you old timers remember Betty Boop.
