Both of us are 58. Never been much for partying or drinking much. We did our share in our early 20s but that was it. I get no pleasure out of watching people act the fool and then hurl because they are loaded.
Couldn't agree with Gary Haupt any more about character. I'd rather be played as a fool for helping someone who doesn't need it than be considered a jerk because I didn't. While I firmly believe you should not be forced to help I also firmly believe if you can you should. Some day it could be me on the receiving end.
What I haven't seen on here is talk of New Year's resolutions. I don't make any-I don't believe in setting myself up for failure. It just adds too much unnecessary stress. I'd rather keep the following quote by Vince Lombardi in my mind instead:
"Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence."
