So i’ll Mark you two guys as a ‘no’ for installing a second deadbolt. I get and understand that someone will get in if they really want to so don’t respond if that is all you have to say.
I'm not talking about a determined thief. I'm talking a quick and easy, jam a crowbar in and give it a couple good yanks to pop the door open. A skilled and determined thief would simply pick the lock. Plus it's usually pretty easy to break a window and get in.
Another thought is does extra locks and reinforcements make your trailer more of a target. You average trailer in storage really doesn't have a lot of stuff worth stealing...but you see a trailer with 3 deadbolts and steel reinforcing on the exterior...hmmm...what's he trying to protect? Must be something worth stealing...Let's pop in and see what it is.
If you have some solar, another option would be a wifi camera and speaker by the door. If the door is opened or the trailer shakes too much, it sounds a siren and then informs the thief that his picture has been set to you to be forwarded to the cops...then the wifi part sends the last few minutes of video to your email.
