I actually do feel your pain with the idiot factor. I worked with the public. The case you cite would be very frustrating.
But I have to say, two examples here- RV park power pedestals and laundromat washer/dryers have to be some of the worst functioning infrastructure I've had the pleasure to use. In particular power posts with loose outlets (poor contacts), shaky foundations, low voltage etc. I feel the customer in general has just as much room to gripe here. Not necessarily your park..I've been to some which were absolutely perfect.
