Like others have said, all the matters is that the bottom line $ matches what you are willing to pay. I am fairly sure that most manufacturers provide the dealerships with a prep allowance that covers their costs to go through, inspect, make minor adjustments and clean the vehicle for sale to the buyer. As far as PDI goes, the buyer should be doing this inspection thoroughly and agreeing to the working condition of the unit before signing any final sale documents.
I personally do not rely on a dealer saying they did a PDI and all is well. There are numerous PDI forms and instructions available on the Web for buyers to educate themselves and use when purchasing a rv. I highly recommend this.
