I pretty much get everything I want. As long as I want what she wants, it works well for us...
Seriously, I chose pretty much everything re: the RV purchase. It was important for me to have the sofa and dinette next to each other, for example...easier to have family conversations that way, easier for someone to "eat with the family" even if there's not room AT the table, etc. She was ok with all that.
What I didn't realize was the extent to which what I read here would be true - blankets and towels have to match the decor. New dishes, silverware, dish rags, etc - it all has to match. I have to rig up a thermal curtain behind the cab...and of course it comes with a strict set of guidelines about how it has to match. So...she gets what she wants there.
But she's letting me do the solar project, which is much more expensive than picking out blankets and towels. It all works out in the end.
We'll see what happens when it's time to get a new one after the kids graduate.
