clikrf8, this caught my attention: I'm curious as to why you say a compressor fridge is the best option for boondocking?
From my understanding, the electrical draw is much lower. With the FWC, we had a 3 way with 80 watts solar and 1 battery. Too much power consumption wore down battery. Also, I understand that the unit needs to be level for using propane option, which when camping, is not always possible. Now, we have compressor fridge, 140 watts solar, 2 AGM batteries. No problems. We do not have a generator. This is what Hallmark people said also if I remember correctly. I hope this makes sense coming from a right-brainer.
