Every DRL equipped vehicle I have ever owned, had a lumen sensor that automatically switched to full headlights at dusk.
My Ram does not have DRL, but it is a habit of mine to turn on the driving lights as soon as I start it up. I also programed it to turn the lights on with the wipers.
We should have auto on DRL mandated as Canada does, helps greatly on foggy or snowy days.
